In recent months, there have been many good news coming from the cotton field.

Over the past three weeks, many European textile machinery suppliers have confirmed that their orders are much better than last year's.

Some people are gleaming with hope. They say that the 2011 European international textile machinery exhibition is still a very important opportunity.

In other words, this means that the global textile industry can expect to see the development of some new machines in Barcelona, Spain.

The latest statistics from the Swiss Federation of international textile manufacturers (ITMF) confirm that the global textile industry is on the rise. The following is the latest report in the two quarter of 2010.

After the recent downturn in the 1 quarter of 2009, global yarn and fabric production showed strong recovery, and the recovery continued to the 2 quarter of 2010.

Global yarn and fabric production increased substantially compared with the 1 quarter of 2010 and the 2 quarter of last year.

Yarn and fabric production in various regions showed growth momentum.

Asia's 2 quarter growth was mainly driven by China's growth, but compared with other quarters, the 1 quarter of the year saw the Chinese Lunar New Year and the number of working days was shortened. Therefore, the traditional 1 quarter production was relatively low, so the 2 quarter growth was exaggerated.

In the 2 quarter of 2010, global yarn and fabric inventories declined slightly because of low inventories in Asia and Europe, and the substantial increase in global fabric inventories, mainly due to higher inventories in South America and Asia, offset the decrease in inventories in Europe and North America.

Compared with the previous quarter and the same period last year, orders for yarn and fabric in Europe and South America increased.

On the other hand, the yarn and fabric in Brazil decreased substantially compared with the previous quarter.

Compared with the 2 quarter of last year, Brazil yarn orders decreased while fabric orders increased.

World yarn production increased by 18.6% in the 2 quarter compared with the 1 quarter of 2010.

Output in all regions has increased significantly, especially in Asia (+19.8%), South America (+10.1%), Europe (+5.3%) and North America (+4.7%).

Compared with the 2 quarter of last year, output has increased in all regions.

Among them, the yarn production in South America increased by 21.9%.

But at the same time, Europe (+20.3%), Asia (+11.1%) and North America (+4.7%).

In the 2 quarter of 2010, the global fabric production industry surged by 16.2%.

Output in all regions increased, especially in Asia (+17.5%), South America (+11.2%), but Europe also increased (+7.1%) and North America grew (+6.9%).

Global fabric output increased by +10.4% compared to the same period last year.

Only North American fabric production decreased by -4.4% during this period, while output in other regions increased.

European fabric production increased by +24.4%, South America's output increased by +14.5%, and Asia grew by +9.3%.

World yarn inventory increased by 1.4% in the 2 quarter of 2010.

Among them, South America +40.0%, the rest of the region is almost unchanged, Europe has increased slightly (+0.3%), but Asia has slightly reduced (-0.8%).

From the year-on-year perspective, world yarn inventories decreased by -0.3%, of which Europe and Asia decreased by -4.0% and respectively.

South American yarn stock increased by +13.4%.

In the 2 quarter of 2010, global fabric inventories increased by 1.5%, of which Asia, North America and Europe increased by +2.4%, +0.8% and +0.7% respectively.

Only South American fabric inventory fell slightly -0.5%.

Compared with the 2 quarter of last year, global fabric inventories increased significantly. South America and Asia grew by +45.2% and +19.8% respectively, while North America and Europe reduced -9.9% and -0.2% respectively.

In the 2 quarter of 2010, European yarn and fabric orders increased by +0.6% and +1.0% respectively. On the other hand, Brazil yarn and fabric orders decreased by -13.4% and -4.4% respectively. Compared with the previous year, European yarn and fabric orders increased by +8.6% and +11.4% respectively. Brazil yarn orders decreased by -3.1%, but fabric orders increased by +5.4%.
