On November 5, the 2023 International Textile Manufacturers Federation Keqiao Conference in Shaoxing, China, and the 6th World Cloth Merchant Conference opened in Keqiao, Shaoxing. The two high-end international events in the global textile industry were jointly held for the first time. Focusing on the theme of "green, recycling, and digitalization - the new dynamic source of the textile industry", the conference focused on industrial concerns, deepened innovation and linkage, and provided advice and suggestions for promoting the opening, integration, and shared responsibility of the world textile industry, and promoting the construction of a global textile supply chain system with new connotation and long-term value.

Shi Huifang, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, Shi Qinghong, Deputy Secretary General of the Provincial Government, and Li Qiang, Deputy Director of the Consumer Products Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, delivered speeches respectively. Sun Ruizhe, President of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation and China Textile Industry Federation, Matteo Renzi, former Prime Minister of Italy, and Wang Yiming, Vice President of the China International Economic Exchange Center, delivered keynote speeches. Fu Longcheng, Vice President of the China Chamber of Commerce, Zhang Xi'an, Vice President of the China Chamber of Commerce for the Import and Export of Textiles, Chen Jianzhong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the Zhejiang Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and others attended. At the theme conference, the launching ceremony of the Action Plan of Keqiao District to Build a Modern "International Textile City", the 2024 World Textile Industry Trend Outlook, and the launching ceremony of the overseas public platform of China Light Textile City "Silk Road Keqiao · Global" were held. During the keynote speech, representatives of Anta, Lanjing Group, Shandong Weiqiao, Sunshine Media Group and other enterprises shared around sustainable development, recycling, digital intelligence empowerment and other aspects.

Shi Huifang said in his speech that, as an international textile city, Shaoxing is currently following the direction of "vacating the cage and changing the bird, Phoenix Nirvana" guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping, taking the "4151" plan of strengthening the city with advanced manufacturing industry as the starting point, anchoring the goal of "green high-end, world leading", and focusing on promoting the transformation and upgrading of the textile industry, innovation and quality improvement. We are eagerly looking forward to this conference to better lead the industry trend, enhance mutual understanding, deepen docking and exchange, share the results of cooperation, create a future for development, and build a platform and bridge.

Shi Qinghong said that in October this year, at the provincial conference on promoting new industrialization and deepening the high-quality development of "415X" advanced manufacturing clusters, the provincial party committee and government proposed to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of modern textile and clothing as one of the four trillion level industrial clusters with leading advantages and scale effects, and promote high-end, intelligent and green development. It is hoped that Shaoxing Keqiao will focus on strengthening the chain, supplementing the chain, smoothing the chain and protecting the chain, actively promote the high-quality development of the textile industry in our province, and make new and greater contributions to accelerating the construction of a strong manufacturing province.

Li Qiang said that the theme of this World Cloth Merchants Conference is "green, circular and digital - the new dynamic source of textile industry", which conforms to the new trend of the development of the times. Shaoxing Keqiao is not only the world's largest textile trade cluster and printing and dyeing processing cluster, but also an important node in the global textile supply chain. It is hoped that by taking the opportunity of the World Cloth Merchants Conference, the participants will be able to brainstorm, gather consensus and contribute ideas, better help Keqiao build a modern international textile city, and jointly promote the formation of a new pattern of the global textile industry.

Sun Ruizhe made a keynote speech under the title of "Practical Cooperation, Jointly Opening the Beautiful Chapter of World Modernization". He said that at present, the global textile industry is undergoing profound changes. The global textile and clothing industry should focus on development and integrate into the world with a higher vision and pattern, build partnerships in the process of mutual consultation, mutual trust and mutual benefit, and work together to build a development community with mutual achievements; Focus on innovation, strengthen manufacturing, lay out future industries in multi fields and cross-cultural integration, and work together to build an innovation community that strengthens the foundation and revitalizes the new; Focus on responsibility, protect human rights, promote the implementation of social responsibility in the development of green cycle, and work together to build a community of responsibility with one heart and one mind.

Chen Hao introduced the Action Plan for Keqiao District to Build a Modern "International Textile City".
