Some Textile Enterprises In Vietnam Still Haven'T Received Orders From Foreign Customers In The Second Half Of The Year

According to the survey of Vietnam's textile industry by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Vietnam, as of July 31, 2020, some textile enterprises in Vietnam had not received orders for suits and advanced shirts from foreign customers in the second half of the year. As for medical masks and protective clothing, they are the main products of Vietnam's textile industry at present. However, because there are many manufacturers around the world that supply these products, the sales price is gradually declining.

According to the statistics of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Vietnam, the export volume of various yarns in the first seven months of 2020 decreased by 20.9% compared with the same period of 2019; Fabric reduced by 40%; The processed textiles decreased by 12.1%. The Ministry reminded Vietnamese textile enterprises that in the second half of 2020, they will need to strengthen the development of the domestic market in Vietnam and reduce production and management costs to make up for their revenue, while maintaining product quality, resetting production lines and personnel allocation to overcome the impact of COVID-19.

In addition, according to the estimation of Vinatex, the textile export amount in the second half of 2020 will decrease by 14-18% compared with the same period in 2019, and the total textile export amount in 2020 is estimated to be about 32.75 billion US dollars, a decrease of 16% compared with 2019.
