Recently, I learned from the Quanzhou customs office at Shishi office that from 1 to May this year, Shishi exported 3 billion 866 million yuan of textile products, an increase of 18.31% over the same period last year.
According to customs officers, there were two main characteristics of textile exports in Shishi from 1 to May this year: first, the monthly export value showed a fluctuating trend, and the value of Shishi textile exports began to decline after reaching a high level of 1 billion 45 million yuan in January this year. In March, it exported only 395 million yuan, the lowest point since May in 2016, and then climbed 2 months in a row, rising to 1 billion 38 million yuan in May, an increase of 33.08% over the same period last year.
Two, the export of private enterprises dominated. From 1 to May, the export of textiles by Shishi private enterprises was 3 billion 427 million yuan, an increase of 27.01% compared with the same period last year. Foreign investment enterprises exported 259 million yuan, a decrease of 29.59%; and the export of state-owned enterprises was 181 million yuan, down 10.77%.

From 1 to May, Shishi exported 675 million yuan to ASEAN, an increase of 68.52%; the EU 653 million yuan, an increase of 10.77%; the United Arab Emirates 600 million yuan, an increase of 37.51%; the United States 133 million yuan, an increase of 13.9%.
