The reporter learned that the scale of cotton production in Heze this year has been nearly a month late than usual. The Heze development and Reform Commission staff revealed that the purchase price is estimated to be below 6.5 yuan per kilogram this year.

As an important cotton producing area in Shandong, the cotton planting area in Heze has been around 1 million 200 thousand mu this year. Compared with last year's 1 million 800 thousand mu, the area of cotton planting was reduced by 1/3.

As cotton grew well and sunny in the beginning of this year, the yield per unit area was better than that of last year. The yield per mu was as high as 500 kg / mu, and the seed cotton padded clothes were on the high side. The average yield was 39%-40%, the quality was mainly white cotton grade three, the average length was 29mm, and the rotten peach cotton appeared in some cotton fields in the first ten days of September, but the proportion was smaller.

Judging from the price trend, the impact of domestic and international cotton futures market, cotton prices fell, the lowest drop to 12800 yuan / ton, the spot market weakness, textile enterprises operating difficulties, cotton demand shrinking, resulting in the original plan to buy cotton business has lost faith, dare not pricing open scale purchase.

After the acquisition of cotton purchase price in 2013, the cotton enterprises began to scale up in September 1st. Last year, the purchase amount of seed cotton was over 20 million kg.

Compared with last year, cotton enterprises have opened their scales for nearly a month later than usual.

"This year's purchase price will not be high, falling to around 5 yuan is also impossible."

For a year's actual cotton purchase price, a researcher expressed his concern.

According to the survey, the purchase price is estimated to be less than 6.5 yuan per kilogram this year, which has shrunk by more than 2/3 compared to the purchase price of 8.6 yuan per kilogram of seed cotton in 2013.

At present, Heze cotton acquisition business is difficult to speculate on cotton sales price.

From the market perspective, cotton prices are decreasing trend. The price of cotton coming in is difficult to sell or reduce sale after processing. The risk of loss is large. Cotton spinning enterprises are in bad condition, the business condition is not good, and the demand is low. The situation of cotton supply exceeds demand is becoming more and more serious. Cotton farmers have not yet satisfied the price of cotton sold for the past year, and this year suddenly dropped from 8.3 yuan / kg to 6.5 yuan / kg, which is even more difficult to accept.

How to break the stalemate that cotton enterprises do not buy and cotton farmers do not sell cotton? The Heze Municipal Development and Reform Commission has made relevant suggestions. For example, the subsidy policy of cotton farmers in Xinjiang and the mainland should be consistent, the subsidy rules as soon as possible, and timely issuance of cotton purchase funds.
