Xiamen

It has been two months since the implementation of the China Zealand New Zealand Free Trade Agreement. However, no enterprise has applied for the issuance of "Sino Singapore certificate of origin" since the Xiamen port.

It is estimated that if the zero visa status is not changed, Xiamen will suffer at least 2 million dollars a year, and next year it will be more likely to reach 5 million dollars.

According to statistics, in the first 11 months of this year, Xiamen's total exports to New Zealand amounted to US $50 million, of which 5 of the total exports of electronics, clothing, footwear, faucets and plastic products accounted for more than 90% of the total, and they could enjoy at least two percentage points of tariff preferences in New Zealand this year.

By next year, tariff preferences can be doubled to 5 percentage points.

In order to enable the products exported to New Zealand to enjoy the preferential treatment of the agreed customs duties at the first time, the Xiamen inspection and Quarantine Bureau began issuing the certificate of origin certificate to the enterprises in the area since the effective date of the agreement in October 1st.

The agreement stipulates that New Zealand will impose zero tariffs on imports from China 63.6%.

The new side also promised to cancel all tariffs on imports from China by January 1, 2016.

To put it simply, the certificate of origin of the Sino Singapore Free Trade Zone is a rare opportunity for Xiamen's foreign trade enterprises, which are facing unfavorable export situation.

However, it has been over two months since the introduction of the FTA. The Xiamen port has applied for the issuance of the "China new trade certificate of origin".

In contrast with the zero visa status of Xiamen, the export enterprises of Shenzhen, Ningbo, Shantou, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Yangzhou, Jiangyin and Shaoxing have been "catching up". After the implementation date, they actively apply to the inspection and quarantine agency for a good job.
