At the scene, it seems that the traces left by the economic crisis can not be seen, and they are still bustling and prosperous.

Just as the theme of the Expo is "crossing", China's clothing industry also adjusts its own structure in the new economic environment to achieve pformation.

International competition is intensifying.

"The intensification of international competition and the obstruction of foreign trade will have an impact on the status of China's apparel industry in the international market and the domestic market structure.

China's textile and garment industry is facing an unavoidable new situation. "

Li Jincai, President of China Textile Construction Planning Institute, said.

At present, the weakness of the international market has made the global garment processing trade more competitive. Southeast Asian countries have gradually become the world's largest garment processing industry by relying on lower raw materials, labor costs, and more preferential policies and measures.

Unilateral trade protectionism will become more intense when the economy is depressed.

The shortage of demand, competition pressure and trade frictions faced by export enterprises are more prominent.

"Developed countries will increase intervention in the appreciation of currencies in emerging economies, and international trade wars and exchange rate wars are inevitable.

As the largest garment exporter in the world, we are facing more complicated foreign trade situation.

Chen Dapeng, executive vice president of China Apparel Association, said.

Data from the China Federation of textile industry show that from 1 to February, China's clothing exports were 19 billion 290 million US dollars, down 2.5%.

In fact, in 2011, China's clothing exports showed a trend of high before and after low, and the growth rate dropped rapidly after August 2011.

The obstruction of foreign trade has led to the impulse of "export to domestic sales" of Chinese garment export enterprises.

At the same time, the prosperity of the domestic consumer market is constantly stimulating the ambition of overseas brands to enter the Chinese market.

All these will bring new impact on the original market pattern in China.

"More and more national and regional clothing brands are taking the China International Clothing and apparel Expo as a platform to deepen the Chinese market.

The overseas exhibition area attracted more than 400 brands from 20 countries and regions.

In the future, the international competition of "home gate" will become more and more serious.

Chen Dapeng said.

Transformation ushering in new opportunities

Despite bottlenecks, more companies see it as an opportunity for pformation and development.

In the tide of great changes in the industrial structure, we should seize the new growth point and get a new lease of life.

"Direction is more important than distance!" said Guo Donglin, chairman of YISHION group. In the new situation, China's garment industry needs to enhance its core competitiveness, including brand building, technology upgrading, and research and development capabilities.

"Fast fashion brands like HM and ZARA are very much in line with today's consumer demand for clothing."

Guo Donglin told reporters that the two or three line cities and neighboring countries as the main market of YISHION to maintain their competitive edge, we must follow the "fast fashion" development path.

He said that YISHION group recently established its R & D center. This year, it will continue to increase R & D design and layout terminal consumer market, and believes that there will still be good development.

Like YISHION, many domestic brands are also exploring their own path of development.

At the fair, Bosideng's booth attracted many eyeballs.

The director of the booth told reporters that global warming has brought a lot of pressure to the survival of the down jacket brand.

More and more brands of down garments begin to pay attention to the design and technological innovation of down garments, and explore the way of survival in the predicament.

"Difficulties can hinder the development of the industry, and can also push the industry to a higher level."

Wang Tiankai, President of China Textile Industry Federation, said that China's apparel industry has formed the most complete industrial chain system in the world, and the core competitiveness is changing from labor cost advantages to functional advantages, efficiency advantages and cost performance advantages.

The comparative advantage of China's clothing industry has not disappeared, but is upgrading.
