Argentina Requires Garment Importers To Export Equivalent Products.

Dvora, Minister of industry of Argentina, recently requested that the import and export consumer goods manufacturers of the country must expand their exports.

The government of Argentina has begun to require importers of high priced automobiles, agricultural machinery, motorcycles, footwear, toys and other related importers to meet the requirements of equivalents. The range of products has now been expanded to include products such as ready-made clothes, furniture, tableware and electronic products.

At present, only one car factory has accepted the request from the government, but the cost of using domestic molds has generally increased by 30%.

The auto industry says that this is mainly due to the high price and long production time in Argentina.
