Bangladesh's Business Standard reported on September 26 that at a press conference held by Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) on Tuesday, Hassan, chairman of BGMEA, said that due to inflation pressure faced by western consumers, clothing retail sales declined, seriously affecting the export of Bangladesh's ready to wear. However, the US visa restrictions will not affect the export of Bangladesh ready-made garments to the US.
